Issuu is an online document publishing software. This post documents my evaluation of it.
There are four plans: Free, $19, $35, and $269 per month. I was using the Premium version during the trial period (two weeks). Note: when you sign up for the trial version, you have to provide your credit card and unless you cancel, you will be charged.
It took me less than 1/2 hour to create a document that I had created from my son’s blog. I first used an online tool called Blogbooker to convert four months of his blog to a book form in Word. Then I used Issuu to convert this word file to an online electronic book. That fairly impressive. You can see it below. It is best viewed on a large screen like a desktop in full-screen mode (click on the boxie-thing in the lower right corner). It does not work well on small cell phone like screens.
